Apex Property Solutions, doing business as Apex-Tree, is a family-owned and operated company based in Madison County. Our founder, Will Smith, has been passionate about trees since the age of four—a passion nurtured by his father, Tommy Smith, a skilled sawyer, and his grandmother, a dedicated horticulturist.
Will, along with his two brothers, Thomas and Nelson, grew up immersed in nature and the forestry industry, working alongside their father in the lumber and portable sawmill business.
In 2016, at just 15 years old, Will launched a successful firewood business with the support of his family. Today, that business continues to thrive under the care of the Smith brothers and their father, Tommy.
What began as a small firewood venture has since evolved into Apex Property Solutions, a full-service tree removal and forestry mulching company led by Will, with ongoing support from his father and brothers. Will is also a skilled tree climber, an essential ability for accessing and removing trees in challenging or confined spaces.
At Apex, we treat our customers like family. Our mission is to help property owners maintain their land safely and responsibly, ultimately protecting their homes and loved ones.

Our deep respect for trees and the natural environment drives us to make the most of every tree we prune or remove. Usable wood is milled for lumber or split into firewood, and any remaining material is repurposed into mulch. Nothing goes to waste.
